Each year this little firm continues to grow into exactly what I’ve always hoped it could become. Over the past year especially, quietly building behind the scenes — returning to school, expanding our knowledge, refining our process, and continuing to elevate what we offer our clients.

We truly have the best clients (like seriously the best clients you could ask for) and get to work alongside some of the best trades and local businesses in the area. Without all of you, I’d just be sitting here with a lot of samples, sketches, and ideas.

This week was full of site visits and sunsets.

I feel so blessed to be welcomed into many homes, in so many beautiful places. It's not lost on me how lucky I am to design in cottage country, with my favourite birds on site, water close by and the energy that this area brings. And to have amazing trusted build partners who bring me along to meet their clients and bring the vision to life, you guys are the best and I hope get a break over the next few days.

I hope you have a lovely long weekend in The Kawartha's - go explore!

A little site visit, a little sneak peak.

We are so excited to see this project at the finishing stage. Our contractor and subcontractors have done a beautiful job on this bathroom with stunning materials from our trusted suppliers!

In between planning client projects it’s fun to play with all of the incredible samples at while planning dream projects. I feel so grateful my friends own the coolest stores, source the coolest products and let me share their space when I need - literally the best!

We went to Toronto this week
and every time I’m there
I notice the same things

The shapes
the brick
the beams
the tile

It just does something to my brain

It reminds me why I love design
why I chose this path

And right now
5 weeks out from finishing semester two
and my first year

I needed that.
I’ll be in heavy focus mode for April, then right into summer build mode!

How to use a whole-home colour palette

One of the biggest misconceptions about colour is that it has to live in one “feature” room.

It doesn’t.

If you want your home to feel cohesive — not scattered — here are a few things we think about:

1. Start with a core palette.
Choose 3–5 tones (including woods and metals). These are the ingredients that move through the entire home.

2. Change the proportion, not the colours.
One room may lean heavier into green. Another may feel mostly cream. They’re still pulling from the same family — just in different weights.

3. Repeat in different forms.
A tone might show up as tile in one space, upholstery in another, artwork somewhere else. It doesn’t need to match — it needs to relate.

4. Use neutrals as bridges.
Cream, wood, and brass connect stronger colours so transitions feel natural instead of abrupt.

Cohesion isn’t about matching.
It’s about continuity.✨adams
