We’re experiencing a little bit of the annual August flower farmer burn-out but still so grateful for our relationship with flowers and Mother Nature. The girls and I talk often about the blessings this relationship with flowers has given us.

Most flower shops meet their flowers the day they arrive in a delivery box but we’ve known ours since they were seeds.

We know them as seeds we plant into the soil week after week, as little starts we nurture over months and then beautiful blooms we’re lucky enough to harvest every morning. Growing flowers is a practice in gratitude, patience and resilience. It doesn’t always go our way, sometimes Mother Nature has other plans like yesterday’s hail!! but when the planning, the timing and the weather aligns it’s pure magic ✨🌸🌻

Saturday’s on Main Street 🌸🕯️📚

Giving out flowers for your hair is one of our favourite Farmers’ Market traditions and Saturdays mornings in downtown Milton are really what Hallmark movie dreams are made of.

From the Farmers’ Market in the morning to a drop in candle workshop The Barn Door Studio and Cafe in the afternoon, to browsing Wildwood Bookstore & Market for a fun new read there’s something really lovely about spending a Saturday downtown.

Yarrow is one of our favourite wildflowers and we grow tons of her, whimsical + medicinal + magical ✨
