In 2007, Wendy Tillett and Sharon Auclair put together a little company called Dung Beetle design. Since then they have been creating Eco-Conscious products using Wendy’s artwork as their focal point. Her love for animals, nature and her passion for the environment and a happy earth is a way of life for Wendy and she applies this essence to her colourful canvases. Sharon Auclair is the super glue
that holds this creative team together. She is the everything else....website-maker & manager & amazing sewer-girl . Dung Beetle Design started off by beautifying 2nd hand Jean Jackets with the images from Wendy’s artwork. DBD went onto to making products made out of recycled materials, such as change purses, phone cases, tablet sleeves and then snak paks (reusable sandwich bags). Recently DBD has teamed up with a local Montreal production company that prints and sews some pretty cool products including pillows, pencil cases, beanies and funky headbands. Everything is made here in Montreal, even some of the fabric used to make their headbands and beanies...so you can feel good about where and how our products are made. This of course means that there are no overseas factories or unfair wages involved. By manufacturing and sourcing locally- we can help reduce our carbon footprint:)
