An organized pantry is great. An organized pantry that STILL works when everyone in your house is actually using it? That’s the goal 🙌🏻
Here are some of the systems I come back to again and again, both in my own home and with clients:
✔️ Zones so you know exactly where to look for something AND where to put it back
✔️ Open bins because if there’s a lid involved, there’s a 99% chance no one in my house is putting it back 😂
✔️ Turntables in those annoying corners where things inevitably disappear and are hard to reach
✔️ Labels not because they’re pretty, but because they tell everyone where s**t goes
✔️ Decanting selectively when it actually makes something easier to see, access or store. You absolutely do NOT need to decant your entire pantry
✔️A designated backstock area so extras have a home and you can see what you already have before buying more
The goal of organizing isn’t matching containers or a space that looks untouched, it’s creating little systems that make putting groceries away easier, help you see what you already have, and make it VERY obvious where things go.
Because if the system only works when I’m the one maintaining it, it doesn’t actually work. 🙃
