The joy of working with reclaimed wood: You never know what wood you will find + you have to take it all appart before you can use it for something else + it is more work but more rewarding! Anthony found some beautiful oak in some of these palets ! He is so excited to give it a second life too and make it look awesome 😎 🔨 ✍️ ♻️

Today we would like to share with you our handmade process for our Boho Cushions! For us it means:
❂ Hand picking the fabrics one by one, keeping in mind that we want to be able to use them together, not only to create one cushion with two different fabric sides, but also for different cushions to marry well together, to compliment each other, yet bring different styles and colors. We dare to try unusual combinations and fabric associations.
✣ We select and saw each button individually, most of the time we use different buttons on the same cushion because well it is more fun! It’s all in the details and it is amazing how small buttons can customize a cushion.
✾ We also hand-make each tassel and play with the variations of colors! It is almost like they are winking at you 😉
✺ We only use a fabric / button / tassel combination twice, so they are only 2 of a kind cushions!

I have a confession to make, I have only recently learned how to sew, and I used to think i was not artistic at all! My whole family is full on artist and yet I felt like I was the only one not gifted with my hand at all! ! Now I have allowed myself to have fun playing with different medias, here for example with fabrics, the colors, the patterns and all the little details such as the buttons I use for each cushion!!! So here is to a milestone of allowing myself to be creative!

Inspiriting a Unique Rendez-Vous

Combining our French touch, with passion, travels, artistic flair and a lot of imagination, we are inspirating a unique rendez-vous.

Husband and wife from South of France who met on a hike in New Zealand, Anthony and Anaïs lived in 8 different countries before settling on beautiful Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.

Among other things, they are: Carpenters - Woodworkers -Designers - Dreamers - Reclaimers - Travellers - DIYers...

Anthony discovered the woodwork while he was travelling in New Zealand five years ago and since then he discovered a real passion for wood. He now likes to work with the wood in all its aspect and forms, as a carpenter building houses but also as a furniture maker. You might spot him somewhere trying to fit 12 palets of wood in his car!!!
