Did you know that Rising Hope Community Kitchen produces food for the unhoused members of our community? You can now drop off donations of nonperishable ingredients for our soups, sandwiches and baked goods in the ICCS lobby at 2025 Bowen Road. NOW ACCEPTING FOOD DONATIONS!

Rising Hope Community Kitchen is feeling festive and eager to tackle the food access needs of the most vulnerable members of our community through the cold winter months. With a growing team of volunteers helping to make meals for our Island Crisis Care Society programs and community partners, we welcome the generosity of the season upon us.

We are spreading the word to help stock our food pantry with essentials to supplement supplies from Loaves and Fishes for producing sandwiches, hot soups, stews and baked goods.

Specifically, we welcome donations of the following food items:

Canned salmon or tuna
Soup base, ingredients and spices
Canned diced tomatoes
Any nonperishable baking essentials
Turkeys for Christmas meals (must come frozen directly from the store for food safety)

Donations can be dropped off at the kitchen, located at 2025 Bowen Rd from Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm.

If you have other nonperishables to offer, please send a message or email [email protected] with details of what you would like to contribute.

Charitable tax receipts will be provided by Island Crisis Care Society.
