Shack In The Back Designs We're a Newcastle Ontario based small business with a passion to create. We laser engrave, we 3D print and we create lovable crocheted stuffies

Shack in the back was started in 2023 by Jacob Campbell and Ashley White. We love to create not only the items we sell, but the smiles and joy that comes with it. Ashley is in charge of our stuffed creature care. She carefully chooses colours and yarn to bring these lovable stuffies to life. Jacob is the operator of the factory (now hiring Oompa Loompas) Jacob 3D prints and laser engraves gizmos and gadgets with a side of signs, cutting boards and tumblers.

Something's stirring at the Shack tonight… 🎃👀

The Shack has gone full haunted, and our critters are NOT handling it well. The dragons have their wings up, the crochet crew has huddled together, and nobody is volunteering to go check what that noise was.

We can't say we blame them.

Catch the scared ones in person at the Brawley Woods Haunted Halloween Walk, Friday October 16 to Sunday October 18, evenings only, at 1320 Brawley Road West in Whitby. Our vendor booth will be out there while the critters keep their distance.

The shadows are calling… and we’ll be there. 👻

Shack In The Back Designs will have a vendor booth at the Brawley Woods Haunted Halloween Walk in Whitby, Ontario. Stop by to see our handmade and 3D printed pieces before or after you brave the haunt.

This is an evening-only event:
Friday, October 16: 7:00–11:00 PM
Saturday, October 17: 7:00–11:00 PM
Sunday, October 18: 7:00–10:00 PM

Location: 1320 Brawley Road West, Whitby, Ontario. Follow the gravel road up beside that address. Please note: GPS often sends visitors to 1060 Brawley Road West instead.

Free parking is available on site. Tickets are cash only, sold in person at the gate only. There are no online tickets.

The event is graphic and not recommended for children under 12. Photos and video are not allowed on the haunted trail itself.

Our hand-crocheted Halloween critters are back out for the season 🎃👻

Pumpkin Pie Kitty is sweet, snuggly and ready for autumn cuddles.
Zombee: a zombie bee. Get it? He's the buzz of the graveyard, with cross-stitched eyes and a stitched scar to match.
Batty is a cute purple night-flyer with plenty of Halloween charm.

All three are crocheted by hand with soft plush yarn. Which one is your favourite?
