🌼 Dandelion Yarn Giveaway 🌼
Earlier this spring, I picked handfuls of common dandelions from my own backyard and set out to see what colour they would create on merino yarn.
After multiple dye baths, overnight soaks, and plenty of patience, I ended up with two different naturally dyed colourways:
🍵 Twice Steeped (left)
Dyed with dandelions and finished with a second bath of black tea.
☀️ Wallflower (right)
Dyed using only dandelions.
The original undyed skein is shown in the carousel so you can see just how much colour these humble flowers were able to create. And now I’d love to share them with you!
Two winners will each receive two skeins (100% Superwash Merino, 1-ply) from this small-batch natural dye experiment:

A little website update✨

Private shopping appointments at the Ravelution Yarn Home Studio for a while now, but I’m happy to announce you can officially book (or cancel) your own timeslot directly through the Ravelution Yarn website instead of messaging back-and-forth.

If you’d like to browse the yarn in person, compare colour ways side-by-side, squish bases before choosing, or discuss a custom dye project, appointments can now be reserved online in just a few clicks.

While Purls is being created, these private studio shopping appointments will be available for a limited time, so take advantage of the one on one while you can!

Well it’s finally happening!! Demo is almost done and what a difference already. The middle wall is gone and look at all that natural light coming in!! Thank you to and their team of contractors for all their hard work. Can’t wait to start the next phase!

Introducing Vivaldi’s Spring 🌿

You helped chose the name, and honestly, it couldn’t fit better!

This colourway feels like that early shift in the season, when everything starts to come back slowly but all at once. Fresh, soft neutrals, and warmer earth tones all sit together, layered just like in nature.

This yarn has movement and is teaming with life, you can almost hear the sounds of spring.

Dyed on our Merino Shimmer base, the soft sparkle catches the light subtly, making this not only magical but very wearable. Perfect for shawls, socks, and next to skin garments calling for a touch of spring.

The shop update is still ongoing! Just added, Soak Up The Sun. This bright and cheerful colour way is dyed on our super squishy bulky merino. It’s a versatile base, great for quick knits and statement pieces. There are only 4 skeins so get them while you can!!

Purls isn’t open just yet, but Ravelution Yarn is still here and you can shop in person! ✨

Right now, it’s running out of my tiny dining room shop… and honestly, it’s a bit magical in its own way. Gridwalls of hand dyed yarn, project bags, graphic tees, and handmade stitch markers, all packed into a small space.

If you live in the area and you’ve been wanting to shop in person, you can book a private appointment while is coming together. It’s a slower, more personal way to browse, squish yarn, and see everything up close before the doors officially open.
I also offer custom dyeing at no extra charge, so if you’ve got a special project in mind, come over and let’s chat!

That carpet is going. There’s no debate there.

But that tile…I genuinely can’t decide.

Part of me loves it. It’s whimsical, a little unexpected, and just bold enough to work. I also love that this piece of flooring is original from when the unit was a garage decades ago!

But a part of me is wondering if it’s just slightly off or maybe a little too much.

So I need your opinions!
✨Keep the tile and design around it
✨Or rip it out and start fresh

People keep on trying the door…

When I met my new shop neighbours a few weeks ago they confessed to playing a fun game of counting how many customers came to my unit expecting the old yarn shop to be there. Well, Friday I witnessed it myself and decided I really needed to put something in my windows asap while I wait for the official window wraps to be done.

If you walk by and the lights are on, take a peek in the window. It’s likely just me in there, and if I see you, I promise I’ll wave back! 👋✨

This is what Friday morning looks like over here. Some knitting, curating/window shopping some gorgeous notion tins by Firefly Notes , and of course some coffee. ☕️

I’ve got some meetings today with contractors! I cannot wait to get this party started. In the meantime, I’m opening wholesale accounts and hand picking some amazing products for Purls.
