Most paintings need good lighting but this one is meant to shine even in dim lighting.
“Measured Distance” is one of the pieces from my upcoming second Chrome Portrait Collection. Every reflection, highlight, and contour is painted by hand with acrylic paint on 20x24 inch canvas.

This original will be released later this season.

😏I almost didn’t paint this one.

After finishing my last portrait, this canvas sat in my studio for days while I talked myself out of it. I was tired of looking at the sketch and convinced myself I should move on to something else.

Instead, I picked up the brush.

Now, watching it come to life, I’m reminded that some of the most rewarding things begin with resistance.

This is the ninth chrome portrait I’ve created this year, and it’s slowly becoming one of my favorite pieces in the collection.

This is most of them. A quick recap of the paintings that consumed my life this year.

Every piece pushed my style further, taught me something different. 🍎🎨

I’m currently working on a new series of originals releasing toward the end of this season. If you’re interested in collecting one or two before the public release, join my collector list through the link in my bio for first access and preview announcements ✨

Thought I’d share some of the symbolism in this piece which was my personal favourite. It breaks down the symbolism behind my painting Seeing What Was Always There. Original painting has been collected. Fine art prints are available now. Collector list + prints linked in bio.
