SOLD This lovely vintage table is looking for a new home. This versatile piece would work beautifully in a front entry hall decorated with your favourite decor but also functional as well with its large drawer and storage area. It has been an exciting month of May for me! I have watched Barn By The Bay now grow into having a physical booth. You can find me at Treasures on 35 and More on highway 35 just north of Lindsay. A charming store full of vendors that delight in finding unique and beautiful collectibles for customers. I would like to thank all my customers for an incredible first month. Please keep an eye out for weekly “new item” videos and posts. If you see anything that would be perfect for your home, or for a gift, please reach out to me and we can arrange for pickup. I will also be posting items that were customer favourites like vintage quilts and small pieces of furniture. Not all of my stock is in the booth, so if you are looking for something specific, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Looking forward to continuing to grow with you and finding homes for beautiful antique and vintage farmhouse and cottage pieces that still have so much life in them!

Not only are they stitched with love, but they provide a softness that is unique to a quilt. This quilt is so soft and cozy and has the most beautiful of array of colours and fabric squares. It is just delightful. It is incredibly clean and is in like new condition. This quilt is so charming that it could also be used as a display quilt. It is a subtle yet striking piece. It has plenty of storage with its pull out drawer and open cabinet space beneath. Though big on storage it is not a bulky piece and therefore could fit into smaller spaces if needed. It would look lovely in a front entryway, a bedroom, bathroom or living room. There are many times that I wish antiques could talk and share their stories. This is one of those pieces. Let’s go back over 100 years to when this antique two compartment wooden flour bin would have been at the heart of the kitchen. Imagine the excitement of the children as the flour kept inside on one side, magically was left to rise on the other. Then the wooden lid would be the surface where the dough was carefully kneaded, soon to fill the kitchen with the unmistakable smell of baked bread. The patina of this piece is so beautiful. Looking at the grooves on the top knowing that so much baking was done on this piece, each loaf made with love. This bin will still be holding on to those love filled vibes and energy. This is the beauty and warmth that antiques bring to our modern homes. I also love to think about how these pieces that had such purpose and function can now live in our modern world. How this piece can be used is only limited by your imagination. As a stand alone decorative piece it is gorgeous. It has wonderful “hidden” storage for the kitchen, bathroom or living room. This piece would make an amazing sofa table. You could also remove the lid and display towels for your guests or use it to hold your beautiful plants and flowers. It could also be used as another serving area when entertaining your guests. I am sure you are thinking of other uses as well. This is a hard to find piece and in remarkable shape.
