Is this something people usually post on Dec 31st? Yes. Is this something ppl post in January? Yeah sure. Is this something people post on February 3rd? Probably not. Do we care? Well.. I’m trying not to worry about it. Isn’t showing up imperfectly (and in this case, late) better than not showing up at all?
We’re not posting to brag, we’re posting to celebrate our wins … because 2025 was challenging and exhausting. There was a lot of stress and anxiety as we dealt with chronic health issues, an assortment of life’s other challenges, and ya know .. the general state of the world. Also, not having done this ‘year in review’ yet was making me feel like I was already “behind” in 2026.
So yes, these slides don’t show you the hard days. (This is your disclaimer that this is not the whole picture.) These slides show the good stuff; all the things we did accomplish. Because we needed to remind ourselves that we are capable … provide ourselves proof, if you will, that we are not imposters. We needed to remind ourselves to be proud of all the things we did and not let the things we couldn’t do, or didn’t do, define us.
And we couldn’t have done these things without you. We appreciate every purchase made, every time you double tap, every comment and dm, every time you share our art and recommend our small business … your words (and actions) of encouragement mean so much. Thank you for supporting Forest and Shore in 2025. ❤️
