Second stage! In a room that would make Dexter proud (because this piece literally hangs off my tables) it’s time for the beach. This sandy wonderland is a beachcomber’s dream - full of treasures my clients have collected over the years. They supplied me with almost everything beyond the sand! If you’re familiar with my work you know I’m a less is more kinda person, but it was great bringing someone else’s vision to life vision. More shells, more colour, more sparkle… and it was super fun to do! And an archeological dig at the end to uncover the treasures.

Merry Christmas! Our tradition on Christmas Eve of charcuterie and a movie were enjoyed as a family last night. As always, I use pieces that mean something- dishes made by my mom, bowls gifted from my sister, a knife from my grandmother’s silver set to use with the brie. I find such joy in using these treasures.

This year’s pick- The Shining. Perhaps not the first movie you think of, but such a great classic that my almost 17 year old hadn’t seen… we all really enjoyed it. I hope you find time to make memories with your loved ones, and remember past ones fondly. 💕

Oh my goodness Vancouver - thank you!! What a great start to Circle Craft - it’s been busy and bumping since opening at 10am this morning. We are at the Vancouver Convention Centre all week, right through to November 16th so if you’re not here already there’s lots of time to come see what 300+ vendors look like.

This beautiful 3D piece is currently on auction through Odd Society . This charity event is raising funds for Food Stash helping provide food security for those in need. I was asked, along with 23 other artists, to create something beautiful from a barrel end that had reached the end of its life at the distillery. How cool it’s that!?! I loved working with this unusual base and I’m so happy to have been asked to help support this worthy cause. 💕 It really felt like a portal to another world to me, so I created my perfect oasis. So this was a fun and different project! Sandman Hotels did an awesome “Key to Summer” contest over the summer to promote Canadian tourism. You could win a week long stay at their hotels every year for 25 years! I made the maple wood key with the help of my laser and an excellent understanding of what maple syrup looks like 😁🍁 Pssst… it’s not real maple syrup. How’d I do?
