Resilience

It’s been a year of difficult moments.

Moments of torment and grief
Moments of uncontrollable tears and sadness
Moments of guilt and shame
Moments of memories and love
It is difficult losing a parent. And in each moment I have thought about who I want to be, where I want to be for myself and my children. Resilience. You alone shape the life you want to live. Don’t wait, time passes without you. Go and live, live life for all it’s worth. Because before you know it you’re looking back. Let me look back on a life well lived!!

What is this madness? It’s been a year, one whole year since I last had my loom warped.

Grief takes a hold of you and your entire life. It’s deafening, internally and all encompassing. It isn’t shy, it has no borders and certainly isn’t kind. In the truest ways it’s as devastating in the sense that it measures how much you loved. It’s the measure of the love you still have but cannot show the departed. And so while so severe in its torture we endure because we loved and still love.
