The workshop didn’t stay pristine. To be fair it’s a joy to be in here using it. First up some two piece soap dishes in gorgeous black clay.

So I have often talked about my Migraine Disease and how much I struggle. Everything affects me. My workshop has always just been too much it’s brick and was painted in white silk. So I’ve taken action. Dulled the walls, mega organised and made it feel really pretty. I can’t get over how different I feel in here now. I even found a new home for the gorgeous embroidered vintage table cloth at the window. Here’s to many happy hours playing with clay. (I hope). I do also wonder how long the organisation will last. 🫣

I am absolutely at my happiest when I’m playing and figuring out new button designs. I can already see how these will capture the colour of the glazes beautifully.

I think these will be keepers and will become a new collection.
What do you guys think?

Teeny 17mm rounds. These have been created by pressing the Vintage buttons out of Nannas’ button tin into the clay.

I love button tins, the smell the sounds as you rummage. The weird finds that found their way there. I’m sure many of us remember scurrying through, looking for treasures?

Memories in a beaten old toffee or Christmas chocolate tin, all tied together by the humble Button.

It’s way too chilly in the pottery shed. So I’m in my warm space organising 🫣 buttons into glaze piles. I’m not a natural organiser. I would normally just be in the shed and glaze with whatever takes my fancy on any given day eeeeeek!! I figured I need to rein that in just a little 🤷‍♀️.
So these are my little organised colour piles I do wonder if when it comes to it I’ll say Sod this and just glaze at will!
Haha either way new buttons on the way 😍

Morning. I’ve had a few messages checking in lately. So thought I would bring my lovely Insta friends up to speed with why things are so quiet from my end. My young person has recently being diagnosed with a rare allergy to the Cold causing Anaphylaxis. She has unfortunately over the last few weeks experienced lots of shocks all resulting in hospital stays. Life has become very interesting and very busy. I’m still here MatildaBelle is very much still open for business. I can’t tell you how much I’m missing creating new Buttons especially but for now my little Boo (not so little anymore as she’s taller than me) is the focus of my attention. Thank you for the messages asking if all is well. Merry Christmas and wishes from us to you. 🎄🥰
