Some of our favourite August builds.

Different woods. Different homes. Different reasons for being made.

But the same idea sits behind every one: a table should feel like it belongs in the room before anything is placed on top of it.

That’s what custom allows us to do. We work with the proportions of the space, the way the family will use it and the natural character of the wood. The goal isn’t to make another table that looks good in a photo. It’s to build one that still feels right years from now.

As woodworkers, we believe custom furniture is worth considering when you care about more than how the finished piece looks.

You care about how it fits the room, how many people it needs to seat, how the base affects legroom, which wood belongs in the space, and how the piece will support the way you actually live.

Those are the details we think through before building begins.

We consider your measurements, everyday use, design preferences, and the character you want the finished piece to carry. From there, the dimensions, wood, base, finish, and construction are planned to work together.

We use a clear poly finish to protect the surface while helping retain the walnut’s natural colour and beauty.

Controversial opinion: the best walnut pieces are not always the most “perfect” ones.

The colour variation, grain movement, knots, and natural character are not automatically flaws. They are what make solid walnut impossible to replicate exactly.

If you want every piece to look identical, walnut may not be for you. But if you want furniture that no one else can own in quite the same way, that is exactly the point.
