The process.
Working backwards, these photos show this goat skull today, last October, and last March.
I received this incredible skull from a lovely friend who raises her goats with love. They live long, beautiful lives. When their time to go eventually comes, I am always honoured to receive these heads. Some of my favourite pieces have been made on glorious skulls from Angela.
When I received it last March, it then spent seven months in a dog crate in the woods, letting bugs and critters snack on it. It then came home and spent the winter in the elements in my backyard.
Now, it is finally ready to begin the degreasing process. Goats can take a long, long time as they are extremely greasy. I will be using on this one and am excited to see how much this product, and the warm weather, can speed up the process.
This skull already has an intended home. I'm just honoured to be preparing it.
