Some of my favorite recipes come from old church cookbooks. This church social crumb cake makes any morning sunny! Buttery, delicious, and easy to make.
Remember, many of these mid-century recipe call for convenience foods, like cake mixes, but you can make a yellow cake for scratch if you prefer. Convenience foods were new at the time, and heavily marketed to housewives who were eager to save time. you do you!
