It's that time of year! 🍃

Every Spring, 10% of gross sales are donated to Ontario Nature. They protect wild species and spaces and have been doing so since 1931! 👏

Your support is especially needed now as the Ontario government is currently trying to pass Bill 5.

Bill 5 would replace the Endangered Species Act with the Conservation Act. This may sound okay... right?

Unfortunately, no.

If Bill 5 is passed, it would remove essential protections from critical habitats that endangered species rely on and ignore Indigenous rights.

Please use your voice today to sign the petition on Ontario Nature's website. We need to speak up and take action. ❤️

This charity works incredibly hard in their conservation efforts, not only by protecting nature but also by inspiring hope in our communities.

I'm super grateful to be able to share my art with the world while also spreading awareness and support for the environment. It's certainly not the biggest donation, but I do feel proud of this contribution that wouldn't have been possible without your support for Poppysmicks💕

Is it just me or do you feel like this year is going by fast already? 🫨

Although this can be stressful to think about I try to see this thought as a gentle reminder that time is moving forward whether we are ready or not.

I'm starting to realize that holding myself to strict deadlines and trying to check off ALL the to do items in each day will never be enough. As much as I want to run a 'successful' business that is consistent and accountable, I don't want to be overpressured, overwhelmed, and burnout.

To be creative is to have fun, be experimental, practice mindfulness. Embedding these aspects in daily life is a gift and these are some of values that I will be holding close to my heart this year. 💕

As a visual remeinder, I look to a framed quote that a loved one gave me for my studio;

Happy New Year! 💕

I've been taking some time to enjoy the winter break with family and friends while slowly chipping away at the Splendid Suspenders pattern and exploring new ideas 😊

One of these ideas is to create my own wedding dress - that's right, Ryan and I got engaged! He is my best friend, creative partner, and the love of my life ❤️

Although the pattern release has been quite delayed, I pinky promise that the Splendid Suspenders are coming soon! All that's left to do is finish editing the video tutorial, so stay tuned! ✨️

Lovely Christmas commission in progress 💕✨️

Every flower represents the background of the recipient and they are connected together by a Celtic knot. My friend created the design and we throughly picked out the colours for each part at - Isn't the colour palette is so dreamy? 🥰
