I eventually lost track but I made more koi inspired pieces, and one day out of the blue, I started a koi and made a manatee. The koi project was officially over.

Anyone remember the Koi Challenge I started January 1st, 2020, right before Covid became a new reality? The Challenge was to do one koi sculpture a week for a year. I started off well, but life got intense as the year wore on and I did not complete 52 koi.
First we sold and moved, but lost our intended house. Then my mother was ill, and succumbed to cancer. So the whole project got literally shelved for a long time.
I finally got them glazed this winter. I am going to start putting some for sale tomorrow, at the Sandcastle Festival weekend, here on Texada. So if you're local, come by and have a look.
