THIS OR THAT: Oak Fixture Vs. Spruce Fixture 💡

❇️The Oak Fixture provides 630W (dual 315W CMH Lamps) of power and is best for larger growers needing more coverage and light intensity.

The Oaks dual lamp design provides broad coverage and offers a full-spectrum light that mimics natural sunlight, making it ideal for promoting vigorous plant growth and flowering.

❇️The Spruce provides 315W of power and is best for smaller growers or those with limited space.

It's a more energy efficient fixture, providing optimized grow results with less power consumption. While it's considered a more compact fixture, it packs a major punch and delivers a full-spectrum light, allowing growers to achieve amazing yields!

Observing trichomes is crucial for determining the perfect harvest time! These tiny crystal-like structures indicate potency and maturity.

One of the easiest ways to observe trichomes is by using our Garden Detecting Loupe with 40X magnification (bonus points for also having a built-in LED light!)

A few things to keep in mind:
🟢 Clear trichomes: Plants aren’t ready yet, and potency is low.
🟢 Milky trichomes: Peak THC levels, signaling the ideal harvest time for a stronger high.
🟢 Amber trichomes: THC is degrading, leading to more of a sedative effect.

Do you know what the key to thriving seedlings is? 🌱

Whether you're growing your own food or cannabis, seed starting at home can be an incredibly rewarding journey.

I mean, who doesn't love creating something from scratch and watching it grow?

Two of our favourite tools to use for seed starting at home: Q-plug propagation Trays, and Clone LED's.

You don't need to be a master grower or have a ton of space to use these tools either.

Clone LEDs are compact and are typically offered with lower light intensity such as 9W or 18W (in comparison to larger 300-600W grow light fixtures).

They are also incredibly energy efficient and won't run up your electricity bill. Plus, they'll last you a LONG time.

Oh what the right growing medium, nutrients and lights can do for your plants 😍

Of course though, we would be remiss not to focus the discussion around lighting, because we know just how essential it is to your cannabis crop.

Some key factors to consider when growing indoors:

💡 Intensity at different stages (i.e. lower lux during vegetation, and higher lux during flowering)
💡 Spectrum: Opt for full-spectrum grow lights when you can
💡 Duration: 18-24 hrs during vegetative period, and 12/12 during flowering
💡 Distance: Make adjustments as your plants grow
💡 Type: Most common is CMH, but LED's are a fantastic grow light as well
