One of the most important parts of our job is listening to what homeowners are actually trying to achieve.

Someone might ask for driveway lighting, pathway lighting, or a few fixtures in the backyard, but underneath those requests is usually something bigger:

When you think about lighting your yard, what areas come to mind first? The roofline? Front entrance? Driveway?

These are all very valid areas to think about. BUT there are other spots that might not be the first places you consider and can end up being some of the most effective areas to add lighting.

Think…
→ The pathway from your driveway to the front door.
→ A side yard.
→ A gate.
→ A set of stairs.

These are areas you use regularly but may not think much about until you’re fumbling through them in the dark.
