Saturday Staff Pick from Simon ✨

Atlin Artist, Maureen Morris visited us last week to bring us more of her beautiful birds carved out of antler.

Because she uses natural materials, each piece is decidedly unique. I love the sense of playful movement that they each convey. Maureen’s birds are graceful and timeless.

Nathalie Parenteau Giclée Canvases and Art Cards back in stock!

Did you know that Nathalie and her partner Peter Von Gaza print all of Nathalie’s art cards and print reproductions themselves?

That in itself is impressive, but when you take into consideration she is the only artist we carry whose art cards take up an entire spinner - it’s doubly remarkable. We’re sorry for making you fold so many hundreds of cards Nathalie! 🫣

Those 68 different art cards include an entire Christmas Collection that playfully merge traditional Christmas themes such as Santa and the Nativity with Northern animals, characters, and scenes.

Within Whitehorse, Nathalie’s work is available exclusively at North End Gallery.

Linda McBain Cuyler creates both machine embroidery art and large appliquéd banners from her home studio in Edmonton.

“I find inspiration in the natural world - the landscape and lovely snippets of nature. I see everything in bright colours provided by the paint, but I am even more interested in the texture of the fabric and stitching. As an interior designer (Bachelor of Interior Design, University of Manitoba, 1981), I try to create work that will be welcomed into the home and add happiness to the surroundings.”

We recently received these small framed pieces back in the gallery. They are so fun and full of detail! Linda paints the background of her images and uses embroidery to bring texture and depth. Find fireweed, birch, northern lights, caribou, and more!

“Look with your eyes, not with your hands!”

This is a phrase we often hear as families with little ones enter the store. Because we have many breakable ceramic and glass items in our shop, we appreciate you keeping tabs on your children who are still learning how to be careful.

To further reduce any accidental breakage we ask that any furry friends joining you be carried throughout the store. If you can carry them, they are welcome to come in too!

We are also happy to hold backpacks, shopping bags, or luggage behind the counter for you so that you can browse hands free and don’t accidentally bump anything.

We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to welcoming you in store!
We are open 7 days a week from 10 AM - 6 PM.

Saturday Staff Pick from Jessi ✨

I am super excited about a new local artist we have brought into the gallery - The Garden Witch! I love this new line of accessories that feature the natural colours and shapes from real flowers.

Elissa makes botanically dyed tote bags and silk scarves using her own home-grown flowers. I appreciate that they are made with intention and contribute to the slow fashion movement. This artist grows all her own flowers from seed, presses and preserves them, and finally sources ethically made blank fabrics to create her whimsical designs.
