My Malawi friends, we could use some sunshine on this side of the world 🥶🌨️ However, I do have some news that is basically like sunshine on a cloudy day… we are now at $800 for 🇲🇼☀️

🗣️Translated this means “the black dog has entered my house.” This saying expresses the reality of hunger many Malawians will face this year.

🇲🇼Malawi is included in the top 10 poorest countries in the world. According to Malawians, due to the effects of cyclone Freddy, the devaluation of Kwacha (their currency) and the price of fertilizer, locals have expressed their reality in the above saying that was shared.

☀️I grew up in Malawi, Africa and my parents still live there, in a village in the Machinga District.

✨Our Response ✨
Using the unique Malawian material, called Nsalu, we will be making pillow covers to raise funds to help those in need within the village my parents live. For each pillow cover made $10 will be donated.
