🌿 From Chasing Price Tags to Appreciating Uniqueness 🌿

When I first started collecting “rare” plants, I was like many collectors—the price tag was a big part of the excitement. There was this mindset that the more expensive the plant, the more impressive your collection must be.

But as my plant journey evolved, so did my perspective.
I realized that it’s not the price tag that makes a plant truly special. It’s the uniqueness of its character—the unusual leaf shape, the unpredictable variegation, the striking texture, the growth pattern, or that one feature that sets it apart from everything else.

These days, I don’t collect a plant simply because it’s expensive. I look for something that speaks to me… something different, something extraordinary, something that stands out from the rest of my tropical collection.

To me, the most valuable plants aren’t always the ones with the highest price—they’re the ones with the most character.
In the end, rarity isn’t just about cost. Sometimes, it’s about finding beauty in what makes a plant one of a kind. 🌿💚

🌱 They See the Plants, Not the Work Behind Them 💚

It’s been a long time since my last post here.

Life has been busy with work, home, and plants. Sometimes, I wonder how I manage to keep up with everything. The days are long, the responsibilities are endless, and often it feels like there simply aren’t enough hours in a day.

My son, Jessie, has been helping me with the administrative side of things, and I’m grateful for that. But behind every plant sold, every event hosted, and every shipment sent out, there are countless tasks happening behind the scenes that many people never see. At times, I feel like I have to split myself into multiple people just to keep up with the demands.

I’ve asked for help before, but often the response I hear is, “You chose this path for yourself.” What many don’t realize is that when I make plans and work toward building something, I’m not only thinking about myself. I’m thinking about my family and our future as well.

Perhaps at this point, some people simply don’t want to put in the work or sacrifice a little of their time to help build something meaningful. And while that can be discouraging, it doesn’t change my vision.

My goal has always been clear: to create a source of passive income that will support me when I retire. Just like growing plants, nothing happens overnight. You start from scratch. You prepare the soil, plant the seed, water it consistently, and protect it from weeds and pests. There will be challenges along the way, but with patience, care, and persistence, that tiny seed eventually grows into something strong, sustainable, and rewarding.

Success is no different.

Hard work, patience, determination, and perseverance are the keys to achieving any goal. The journey may not be easy, but every step forward brings us closer to the life we’re working so hard to build.

And so, despite the challenges, I continue to plant seeds—both in the soil and in life—trusting that one day they will grow into something worthwhile.
