A custom knitted riding/packing vest in a silver grey and arctic blue melange. This definitly will keep your upper body warm and leave enough room to comforatbly move your arms while working around the horses or outdoors.

Made from Álafosslopi, my beloved Icelandic wool, is unique. The sheep in Iceland, which spend most of their time in the wild, develop a particularly dense wool coat due to the harsh Nordic climate. On one hand, the long outer hair is robust, strong and water-repellent, and on the other hand, the undercoat is soft, light and warm. From this the Icelandic sheep's wool gets its special and mohair-like character.

Eine individuell gestrickte Reit-/Säumerweste in einem silbergrauen und arktisch blauen Melange. Sie hält den Oberkörper warm und lässt genug Platz, um die Arme bei der Arbeit mit den Pferden oder im Freien bequem zu bewegen.

Hergestellt aus Álafosslopi, meiner geliebten isländischen Wolle, ist einzigartig. Die Schafe in Island, die die meiste Zeit in freier Wildbahn verbringen, entwickeln aufgrund des rauen nordischen Klimas ein besonders dichtes Wollkleid. Einerseits ist das lange Deckhaar robust, stark und wasserabweisend, andererseits ist die Unterwolle weich, leicht und warm. Dadurch erhält die Wolle der Islandschafe ihren besonderen, mohairartigen Charakter.

This hand-knitted hat with a meadow motif is one of my current favorites. I knitted this with Icelandic Álafosslopi. The Icelandic virgin wool will keep your head warm and dry in the cold winter. After the first was finished I could not resist and immediately made another but in a nocturnal/autumnal color combination.

Diese handgestrickte Mütze mit Weide-Motiv ist einer meiner momentanen Lieblinge. Gestrickt hab ich diese mit Isländischer Álafosslopi. Die isländische Schurwolle hält Ihren Kopf im kalten Winter warm und trocken. Nachdem die erste fertig war konnte ich nicht widerstehen und hab gleich noch eine gemacht allerdings in einer nächtlichen Farbkombination.

Am Anfang der Woche kam der Schnee und lieferte uns den perfekten Hintergrund für das Footoshooting unserer neuen Reitröcke.
Der senfgelbe Wollloden gefüttert mit einem Stopper in Dunkelbraun ist verziert mit einer reflektierenden Borte mit goldenen Blumen.

Wir haben es geschafft! Sturmhütte öffnet seine Tore, momentan noch virtuell aber bald kann auch der Laden in Chapella besucht werden.

Lange Vorbereitung und viel verstrickte Wolle, Farbe und Pinsel haben uns hierhergeführt.

Schaut doch mal im Etsy-Shop (Link in der Bio) vorbei oder bald auf dem Hof.

Freut Euch mit uns zusammen auf das Neue und Kommende.

P.s. natürlich sind auch all unsere Kunstwerke als Weihnachtsgeschenke geeignet :)

We have made it! Sturmhütte opens its doors, at the moment still virtually but soon you can also visit the store in Chapella.

Long preparation and lots of knitted wool, paint and brushes have brought us here.
