Serenique started without a plan.

I was going through a stressful time — the kind where you need stillness before you even know you need it. So I just began. Blue. Layers. Glass and mirror fragments added to the surface.

The mirrors play with the light in a way paint alone never does. The surface keeps shifting depending on where you stand.

The title came after. Serenity + unique. That felt true.

The part nobody sees.

This piece is built from multiple individual elements that only come together during the final assembly.
Screws, wire, spacing, balance and structure become part of the artwork itself.

Offelia — A State Between Shift and Fading
50 × 70 cm — acrylic, structural paste, crackle medium, spray paint on canvas
I go through phases where I turn inward and question everything. It’s not always triggered by something specific. It just comes.
This work was started during one of those phases — and I couldn’t finish it. I kept leaving it and coming back. That interruption stayed in the work.

Last time at Ibrahim Khan Art Gallery — “Path of Becoming.”
It’s a space that treats art seriously. Curated with care, in the beautiful heart of Paphos Old Town.
Returning there this weekend with two new works feels right.

Back at Ibrahim Khan Art Gallery in Paphos.

Two of my recent works — Offelia and Diffuse Glow — were selected for the group exhibition „Beyond the Surface.“

Both built in layers of acrylic, structural paste and spray paint. Part of a group of works created earlier this year — warm tones, layered texture, atmospheres that don’t fully resolve.

Come by and see them in person.
