𓂃 Sensory Clay Ritual 𓂃

we journeyed deep into our hearts, exploring what softening feels to us
we celebrated the Earth, creating a magical seasonal altar table with gifts of autumn
we struggled with thoughts and rigid ideas, forming clay with our eyes covered and no direct guidance
we let go, we tapped into our intuition, we softened
we became intimate with life,
it was when the words fell away
and the melody of the flute said it all
while birds joyfully chirped their songs
and the Sun was occasionally kissing our skin
as if encouraging and celebrating us back

when Līva līva franke shared with me the spark of hosting a two-day gathering with Tea & Clay on her Latvian land, i felt both challenged and excited.
i already had my Clay Ritual that i guided a few times ~ a familiar flow i love and trust. but there was another day for clay and i felt like going somewhere else with it, to dare a little more… to bring in poetry, more depth, more silence and give more space to intuition and freedom.

this is how “Earthly Ritual: Listening Through Touch” came into being ࿓ i sewed blindfolds for all and we journeyed mostly with closed eyes, away from thinking and technique, to a place where what lives inside us can be expressed through touch, taking a boundless form.

along the way sitting with the question of what it means to belong to the earth.
in a little cabin, with the pouring stormy rain outside…

afterwards, we offered our creations to a pine tree – letting go of whatever came up – within us and in the clay shape.

this also felt like such a natural transition into Day 2, where we returned to that same clay, this time shaping it into a vessel to be fired and carried home.

so grateful to be trusted with bringing clay to other hearts… and hands 🤍 guiding others, while feeling guided myself.

Earth gifted me clay. this is my gratitude – creating that which brings an earthy touch into one’s life rituals.
i’m especially happy with these recent collections. through them i feel my intentionbeing realized and reciprocity with Her becoming tangible… ᯓ

𓂃 a vessel 𓂃 those are the versatile ones within my collections of forms that can work well for any drink, be it matcha, cacao, chaï latte, coffee or tea.

this vessel is from the ‘dark moss’ series and travelled with MAIKE GRIMM to a lakeside, sharing intimate moments with her by the water.

i haven’t taught group wheel classes for almost a year. i burned out with workshops focused mainly on having a fun evening on the wheel where there was no space for something deeper… for developing the relationship with the clay and the craft.

after a few 1-1 pottery mentorships, i began to feel called back to teaching – they reminded me how much i love sharing and especially finding a way through a difficulty of my students so that it finally clicks. these adjustments are often small but make a huge difference.

this is how DEEPENING YOUR WHEEL PRACTICE came to life: a four-week mentorship for those who have already taken their first steps on the wheel, but want to go further with their learning & practice.

with only four people in each group, i’ll shape our meetings around what each person brings.

DEEPENING YOUR WHEEL PRACTICE 𖦹 A 4-week small-group wheel throwing mentorship.

this offering grew from my wish to support those who know the basics, but still feel unsure when practising independently.

in a group of only four, we’ll revisit the foundations, explore new techniques and work through individual challenges. there is no rigid program – i will shape our meetings around what each person brings.
