Just a few days ago, we arrived in one of the most special places on this planet – Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park, the oldest proclaimed nature reserve in all of Africa.

We’re here with Wildlife ACT, working on the frontlines of conservation. This isn’t just about observing wildlife – it’s about protecting it. Every early morning, every long drive, every data point collected contributes to safeguarding endangered species and preserving ecosystems that have existed for generations.

Being here means witnessing both the beauty and the fragility of nature. It means understanding how critical conservation efforts are, especially in a world where wildlife faces increasing threats every day.

We came with the intention to make a difference – however small it may seem. Because protecting wildlife is not just a responsibility, it’s a commitment to the future.

Which artwork speaks most to you? 🌊

A little piece of the sea has moved into this beautiful pediatric practice.

Six of my maritime oil paintings (30 × 30 cm) are now exhibited, bringing calm coastal vibes to the waiting area — for both kids and parents.

It means a lot to see my work in such a modern and welcoming space, where art can offer a small moment of escape and comfort.

The exhibition is open for an indefinite time, and two more pieces will join the series soon.

Swipe to see some photos of my latest work, "Beneath Her Protection". Which detail speaks to you the most?

Humpback whales are known for their deep maternal bonds. In the first months of life, calves stay close to their mothers, relying on them for protection, guidance and survival.

Today these giants still face threats from pollution, ship strikes and climate change - making conservation more important than ever.

This painting was created for the Wildlife Artist of the Year competition by . Please wish me luck that I make it to the final this year 🤍

"Fox" — watercolour, framed 43 × 32 cm

Thank you to the collector for giving this piece a new home.
These mockups show how Fox sits across different walls and interiors — intended to hold a quiet presence. Painted with layered washes and delicate brushwork, it explores movement, stillness, and the warm, watchful energy of the animal.

Which wall matches your preferred interior style best — modern, shabby, or antique?

Now that Christmas is over, I can finally reveal that my entire "Mother and Cub" series was sold at the end of 2025. It was a Christmas and birthday present for a lovely collector and friend of mine from her partner.

My paintings have already been exhibited in England and Germany before they found a new home. They couldn't have found a better one! Thank you so much, this makes me incredibly happy.

Here's to the new year! May it become a good and creative one! 🥂

What do you think - Should I expand the Mother & Cub series with new paintings?
