Who Founded Sofa's & When ?!
من الذي إخترع ( الصوفا ، الكنبة ، الأريكة ) و متي ؟!

Furniture maker Jay Wellingdon Couch is accredited with creating the first Sofa or Couch in 1895 despite similar seating designs appearing centuries before and as a example there's a furniture design for seating exhibiting on the Grand Egyptian Museum among the Golden pharaoh collection also in the Roman era etc .

صانع الأثاث ( جاي ويلينجدون ) كان لة الفضل في صناعة و تصميم ما نعرفها حالياً بالكنبة أو الصوفا أو الأريكة بشكلها الحديث و كان ذلك فالعام 1895 ميلادياً و ذلك بغض النظر عن تصميمات للجلوس شبيهة بالأريكة وجدت قبل ذلك بقرون فعلي سبيل المثال لا الحصر يتوفر للعرض بالمتحف المصري الكبير من ضمن مجموعة الفرعون الذهبي " توت عنخ آمون " أكثر من شكل لأثاث الجلوس شبيهة بالأريكة و كذلك بالعصر الروماني إلخ.

Who named the sofa ?

Actually, the word “sofa” dates back to 2000BC in Egypt, and is derived from the Arabic word “suffah” which roughly translates to “bench”

WHY it's called SOFA ?! 😊
According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the word 'sofa' originates in the eastern Mediterranean with the Arabic soffah, which is 'a part of the floor raised a foot or two, covered with rich carpets and cushions, and used for sitting upon .
Also in states called COUCH 😊 & in Egypt they're called it KANABA 😂
