Rana had spent five years studying interior design before she realized that one may pursue a passion, yet discover a more deeply-ingrained one along the way. Abstract art is Rana’s forté. Each painting of hers is an individual; full-fledged with a unique life story of its own. Her artwork would be best described as a combination of the seemingly un combinable. The end product of which is riddle-like engaging the mind of the audience while speaking right to their soul. To produce art that has a spiritual, yet unconventional aestheticis what she ultimately seeks .Like most creative endeavors, the planning, preparation, and execution of a single painting take weeks, if not months. Thus, teaching Rana the virtue of patience .To feel limitless with endless ideas floating around is something she has grown comfortable with because at the end of the day it is the art that makes her feel grounded and complete.

The Fall of the Mask

A mask can exist between what we feel and what we allow others to see.

Here, the masks are arranged in a structured form—until they begin to fall, one after another. A reminder that while masks may protect us in certain moments, no mask can last forever.

Each mask is connected to a woman, carrying a trace of an unfinished story—without a fixed identity or a final definition.

Is the mask destined to fall?

بين عوالم التخفي والانطلاق، تأخذنا الفنانة السكندرية رنا سلامة في رحلة بصرية تمزج فيها بين الرمزية العميقة والطاقة التعبيرية الحرة؛ حيث تلتقي الوجوه المتوارية خلف الأقنعة بحيوية الأجساد الراقصة لتكشف عن ملامح الهوية، والذاكرة، والمقاومة الداخلية كما يظهر في التصميم الإبداعي واللوحات المميزة المعروضة في المعرض
