We’re not sure we’ll ever be ready to bare our souls on the telly box 🙈 but, ready or not, here we go!

We have been selected to feature in a popular TV show following Brits abroad and their adventures starting their new lives and businesses from scratch in a new country! 🇪🇸☀️

Cameras start rolling this afternoon as we say farewell to our old life and wish the new owners of Brechfa Forest Barns - Totally Dog Friendly Escapes all the best.

We’ve packed up our lives in Wales, taken the leap and, tomorrow morning, begin the 5 day drive to our new home and life in Andalucía 🙌🏻

We’d LOVE you follow along as we set up Unique Retreats Spain and Mountain Bike Spain whilst revamping our new home in Creating Casa Fina😃

We’ve got quite the project ahead of us 😅

Casa Fina is ready to go if you like how it looks now… But let’s just say it’s not quite our style… 😬

Luckily, I’m pretty handy when it comes to making an impact on a budget, as in it’s my super power after years of experience 💪🏻

Indoors I’m totally in my element — cosy, characterful spaces are my happy place.
Outside though? OMG. It’s basically one enormous patio! 😳

We need to add planting to soften everything and create beautiful zones — but with no soil to work with, it’s going to have to be raised beds, pots and creativity.

So today, armed with coffee, Canva and ChatGPT, I tried my hand at designing a Moroccan-Andalucian style courtyard and pool area using what we already have. I think it’s rather lovely, if a little ambitious! Whether we can actually pull it off is another matter entirely (sorry Jay!) 😂

But honestly, I have no clue — so PLEASE hit me with your input, ideas, or recommendations for easy garden design apps or Mediterranean-friendly plants. I need all the help I can get! 🙈
