Introducing a new body of work that I've been working on for a little while now.
I’ve always been drawn to bold, textured pieces full of energy and movement. My work has been about pushing the boundaries of clay, kilns and glazes while experimenting with form, and expressing emotion through textures, complexity and movement. But lately, I’ve found myself pulled in a new direction: simplicity.
This new collection is a bit of a departure from what I’ve done before. It’s about clean lines, minimal shapes, and pure forms. But it’s also a personal challenge. Creating pieces that are as simple as I can make them—while still beautiful and meaningful—has pushed me out of my comfort zone. It’s been a humbling experience to strip away the layers I’m used to relying on, to trust that less can still carry weight. Every curve, every line, every surface has to be intentional. And that’s what makes it so rewarding.
This new challenge has taught me to see the beauty in restraint. These pieces are about balance, harmony, and the quiet connections we make with the objects around us. They’ve shown me that simplicity can be just as powerful as complexity, and that sometimes, the quietest moments carry the most meaning.
