I’ve always loved the depth and movement of limewash, so I decided to experiment with leftover paint from Ava’s old room back in Illinois. 🤍

I diluted the paint with water and applied it in imperfect layers—starting with a rag before realizing that an old sock was much easier to blend with, especially on our textured walls. I added a second coat for more dimension and used a wide scraper along the ceiling edge to keep the line clean.

It isn’t true limewash, but I love how much character this limewash-inspired effect gave her room here in Texas.

Would you try this with leftover paint?

My 10-foot fiddle leaf fig looks beautiful—but moving this heavy planter was another story. I added small adhesive caster wheels underneath, and now I can simply roll it whenever needed. Such a small upgrade, but it made a huge difference. 🌿

Most furniture tells me what needs fixing. This one told me to leave it alone🤎.

When I restore furniture for clients, I focus on every detail. I want each piece to leave my workshop looking its very best.

But this one is ours.

This buffet still has a little missing veneer, and I'm still searching for the right pair of drawer pulls. But somehow, every time I walk past it, those aren't the things I see. I see beautiful wood, incredible craftsmanship, and a piece that already feels at home here. I'll find the right pair someday. But for now, I'm enjoying it exactly as it is🤎.

We didn’t need a bigger closet, we needed the space to work differently. 🤍

Ava’s original closet had sturdy, good quality shelving, but the fixed layout wasn’t working for her needs. I removed the shelves, patched and painted the walls, then installed the IKEA AURDAL system with adjustable hanging space, shelves and builtin drawers.

The floral k***s and drawer organizers were the finishing touches! I completed this makeover last year and am finally getting around to sharing it.

What would you prioritize: more drawers or more hanging space?

A very serious commitment to doing the same trend everywhere we went in France… except Gordes, Versailles and L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, where we completely forgot 😂🇫🇷.

The charging cords on our counter were driving me crazy, so I hid them inside our double bread box. One small hole in the back keeps everything plugged in and out of sight—and we still have room for bread. ✨
