My Botanical Illustration Workshop was a lot of fun today at .
Lots of warm up drawings, covered and timed drawings using a range of chunky pens, pencils and felt tip pens, before we focussed on our finished piece. These were then made into simple folded concertina sketch books. Different ways of drawing showing that from ordinary materials we can make extraordinary things. Well done to everyone who attended! You all made such fantastic drawings!

What a fantastic start to the Spark Summer Art Club at Today I had a lovely group of families and individuals joining me to learn how to make paper flowers using materials you may already have at home. I was super impressed with everyone’s finished flowers and pleased that there was such enthusiasm to try out drawing them with charcoal. Smiley faces all round.

A lovely day yesterday at with joyful botanical illustration. Foraging in the Wild Garden, leading on to some fun warm up drawing exercises before settling to compose a more detailed drawing. Great results and great fun! Well done to everyone at the Third Stage!

It’s that time of year again! So much fun to look back over the many Easter Eggs I have illustrated some commissioned for Easter Egg Hunt. Always a lovely project. Happy Easter!
