Bindw**d grows where it’s not invited. It winds, it clings, it persists.

Considered a w**d, it’s something to be pulled out, controlled, erased. A native British plant that is precious to our pollinating wildlife.

My bindw**d is reverse painted and gilded in 24kt gold and set against an industrial, distressed silver background. Trying to understand the tension between fragility and resilience. Between what is valued and what is overlooked.

Misunderstood, persistent, reaching for light regardless. Unwanted and essential.

This piece ‘Gilded Vines’ is about that connection. About finding beauty in what is dismissed. About holding space for contradiction, intrusion and belonging.

Bindw**d doesn’t ask permission to grow. It just does, and it will keep doing so.

My first completed piece of 2026 has been an absolute joy to create.

This ‘Squadron of Manta Rays’ was commissioned by a returning collector, and I had the pleasure of delivering it personally to their beautiful home over the weekend.

I worked from images and size specifications taken from their interior space, alongside studies, photographs and videos I gathered during a research trip to the in Plymouth — where I spent an incredible day observing these truly majestic creatures.

As part of the brief, I was asked to include one very rare manta ray known as Inspector Clouseau. Among the squadron, you’ll notice one individual with subtle pink hues. Inspector Clouseau is believed to be the only pink manta ray in the world.

I’ve not been very busy on the socials over Christmas and New Year, as I’ve had my head down working on a very special Birthday Commission.

I’m really excited to now share the completed piece. ‘Pouncing Cheetah’ in gold grasses. Reverse painted and Gilded entirely in 22kt Gold leaf.

I’ve also included a couple of preliminary sketches, so you can see part of my processes.
What a wonderful unique piece,to be able to produce full size, the fastest land mammal on Earth.

Thankyou to all my clients for your amazing support of my art practice. Commissioning and giving me that chance to work on some of the most beautiful, dream, bespoke pieces.

Happy 2026 everyone.

From sketch to installation.

One of my favourite commissions so far this year.
This large Shoal of Tuna fish was a joy to complete.

I worked closely with my clients vision, taking scaled sketches and colour swatches onto site, so that the size and colour tones were perfect for their interior space.

Commissioning art is always a nerve wracking experience, but I try to understand and help my clients where ever possible, to see their concepts into reality.

A ‘Red Moon’ is believed to signify a powerful time for emotional and spiritual transformation, change, and release.

It is seen as a period of “revelation” that forces individuals to confront what no longer works in their lives, leading to a “hard reset” of sorts that can be challenging but ultimately leads to profound personal growth.

You can find my ‘Red Moon’ over on my website.
