Can I have an honest rant?

I had a cancellation at 11.30pm last night for a job this morning, I only seen the message this morning as I was dreaming about better days at the time the message was sent.

Things change I do get that, I'm always accommodating. It left me with time to fill, so I went to the gym to get rid of the frustration.

I then spent a few hours catching up with paperwork, keeping customers informed, pricing and then more frustration as I was checking for and contacting leads from leads sites I use, now these aren't free, I pay for credit which allows me to contact new leads.

I called 10 new leads, 6 did not answer, I left a voicemail, I followed up with a text message and WhatsApp message, 1 has replied this far to simply say not available? 2 said they already had someone from elsewhere, these are new leads not days old. The other 2 that answered, 1 of which said they just wanted a quick quote over the phone, the other said they are planning for next year, now the best bit is, out with my time spent doing this, this has cost me £150 for the pleasure, non refundable.
This is like this most weeks.

Some of these leads were marked URGENT, some were minutes old.

This is the part customers don't see, I know there is cowboys out there, I can only speak for myself. Just looking for some common sense and curtsey. Call or message back just even 'changed my mind', call later or call at? Be clearer on your description of your requirements and is it truly urgent?

Small businesses depend on leads, yes you have regulars, repeat customers, word of mouth but that does not fill your week, these also only happen after you do a good job the first time, so we require lots of first time jobs to survive.

Having a go with A.I. for a new flyer, some of the results were funny, you have to be precise but even then A.I. still gets it wrong, this was the closest of a bunch. What do you think?
