Rowenluin

Rowenluin from the inspiring land of the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales x Tolkien found inspiration for his Lord of the Rings stories.

We are sisters and a Mum from the Magical Lands of the Llyn Peninsula in the North of Wales, the land of The Mabinogion, Arthur and the stories J.R.R. It is impossible to be a child on the Pen Llyn and not feel the presence of Welsh history and mythology everywhere you go. What a place, we roamed for miles, for hours on end.

76 ins of pot grown Sunflower, arrived at the end of term from school, his aim was to grow it as tall as the door, I wasn't hopeful, but due to his over excessive snail patrols & buckets of water from the bathroom, he has succeeded.
Very proud of the lad & sunflower 🤗

Paid a visit to my old garden, to say it's doing well is an understatement !!! Perhaps a little to well 🤔
The grape has taken over and the peach tree is ginormous, both full of fruit though 😍
Think a little maintenance this coming Autumn

So energised am I by my mountain sledging ! I'm putting a picture of the track down, showing it was no nimby/pimby mountain sledging, used my walking stick as a rudder 😏 to reach greater speeds !

Could I move the next day ? no !

Was very excited ! made it to Mynydd Carreg, back of Aberdaron, a small mountain of Red Jasper !!! a strain only found here on the Pen llyn, you find pieces of it all around our coast.
But to stand on a mountain of it was utterly brilliant, birds of prey above you, outstanding views, worth a visit, the Jasper is even underfoot in the path.
The grass trail up to the top was completely dry & trodden down, which strangely made it so slippery, funny going up, BUT ! on the way down it was lethal, so thought, I'll sit down and shuffle a bit, to my suprise it became a slide all the way down to the bottom, such fun 🤗

I've added a link, it's got more infomation on there about the history of the quarry.

I did take my jacket with me ! It didn't go dark or cold, but the atmosphere & visuals was very shroomy, or was that just my past catching up with me 😶

And so it begins, Eclipse 2026, up to see the line up of planets, watched sunrise & went back to bed 😄

Not going to best of harvests this year, never seen it so harsh on the Pen Llyn, even the blackberries, natures hard guy's are not doing well🙁

Little & large
We've had little rain, even today the clouds are blowing over the Pen Llyn !
So the sledge is out again, they all take their turn !
Mr chit chat comes for his soggy mealworms.
Must get something done, bird watching & a cup of coffee bliss 🤗
