Bideford Fair, Mayor's Parade and Cream Tea Festival

Saturday 8th August 2026

The day begins in spectacular style with a Sheep Drive across Bideford’s historic Old Bridge, courtesy of the Institute of Weavers and Shearers, followed by the Mayor and civic party processing through the town. From there, the celebrations continue with something happening at every turn…

Plus it is Bideford Sprint Regatta on that day so fantastic sprint races on the River Torridge!!!
Plus plenty of family fun including bouncy castles, go karts, zorbs, sumo suits, and so much more!

BIDEFORD FAIR HAS BEEN POSTPONED…

🚨‼️ IMPORTANT NOTICE PLEASE READ‼️🚨

Following a review of the latest weather forecasts and with wind gusts of up to 45mph expected throughout Saturday, organisers have made the difficult decision to postpone the event on safety grounds.

They are now aiming to hold the event on Saturday 8 August and will confirm details as soon as possible.
