Gosh that was a long period of sickness but back for the last two days of our pop gallery on Old London Road in St Leonard’s on Sea. Big reductions as we clear the space - just sold these two. ❤️

Being so debilitated was quite humbling. It says in the psalms that God heals all our diseases. Very very grateful to be back on my feet. 🙏🙏🙏

Okay, so this is questionable but I’m not sure about the direction this XXL is going in and I really feel to switch theme after my trip to Les Calanques with Issy Pierre.

Maybe I’ll regret it but alors, c’est parti! I’ve prayed and reflected on it and I want to paint from glorious nature. Let’s see how this pans out…

There have been many discussions in my household recently about the nature of the divine…so I want to share an encounter I had in a dream early on in my spiritual journey, maybe 25 years ago but as vivid today as it was then.

There were catacombs in a desert and in one of them a fire was burning like a tower of brilliant white flame, so bright you shouldn’t have been able to behold it but you could. It was a huge cylinder of light. There was no heat coming from it but something else was radiating from it, such that anyone who came and stood before it received something impossible to describe.

To me, it was not only a divine experience, it was also an encapsulation of what ‘God’ is, though God cannot be held in a word, though perhaps the word Yahweh (‘I am’) is closer. No words were exchanged before the fire, no one was pushing to be at the front, people came and went in perfect synchrony and it all took place in the simplest of places in the ochre catacomb. It was beyond all religion and of the purest kind of communication.

I was not setting out to paint this image but when I saw what I had created, it took me right back to the dream, thought here the white fire is only hinted at.

Have you ever had such an encounter or seen something like this?

For my May collection, I will be bringing you colour and joy. These works reflect a newfound state of mind: one of decisiveness and dedication.

I have been crippled before now with an inability to commit to a single course of action. Don’t ask me why but it is connected to an inability to realise my potential. That’s the old wine skin and the new one is firmly in place. No more double mindedness and drifting! I hope you can see that in this new May collection.
