A little update from me…

Unfortunately, Oscar’s school remains closed following the ongoing health and safety issues, which means I currently have no childcare and am unable to work from the studio.

I will be heading to the studio tomorrow to bring home additional equipment and supplies so I can continue working on orders as much as possible from home. However, this is an extremely stressful and challenging situation, particularly during one of my busiest periods of the year.

Please bear with me while I navigate this unexpected disruption. I am doing everything I can to keep orders moving and minimise any delays.

Emily has absolutely smashed it once again! 🎂🏴‍☠️

I have the privilege of ordering all of my cakes and treats from Emily, and they never disappoint. Not only do they look incredible, but the taste always matches the standard of the design. Every. Single. Time.

I’m so proud of everything you’ve achieved and the consistently high standard you continue to produce whilst juggling everything else life throws at you.

After much thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to leave my studio, so this month will be my last here.

When I moved in, I genuinely thought I’d be staying until I outgrew the space. It’s been a lovely little studio and I’ve enjoyed having a dedicated place to create, meet clients and grow Ever After Designs.

Unfortunately, the level of noise within the building has made it increasingly difficult to work productively. On three out of five working days, the disruption is significant enough that I often have to work elsewhere, so the space is no longer practical for my business.

Whilst I’m sad to be leaving, I’m also looking forward to what comes next. For now, I’ll be returning to working from home while I search for a new studio space. I already have a few viewings lined up over the coming weeks, so fingers crossed I find the perfect fit.

And hopefully one with slightly fewer Pilates classes nearby. 😂

📣 PSA: AI-generated stationery is becoming impossible to ignore 📣

I’ve noticed a growing trend of people claiming to be stationers, designers or creatives while building their wedding stationery businesses around AI-generated images, products, mock-ups and adverts.

While I understand AI’s potential, I would never generate a design and pass it off as my own creative work.

Creativity goes beyond typing a prompt; it encompasses ideas skill experience problem-solving and originality.

If you’re short on the necessary skills, hire someone who has them. Creative professionals exist precisely for that purpose.

Using AI as a tool is one thing but passing off AI-generated work as your own and calling yourself a designer is quite another.
