NEW TITANIC TRAVELER’S NOTEBOOK BOOKBINDING WORKSHOP AT TITANIC HOTEL BELFAST!

For the first time ever, I’m hosting workshops (one in September and one in October) teaching you how to make your very own special edition Titanic Traveler’s Notebook!

You’ll be binding the leather cover using the infamous elastic & brass cog system, hand-binding the two inserts with waxed linen thread and then hand trimming them.

The ship’s wheel pendant, canvas pouch and a storage box will be included.

To make this even more memorable, I have included free personalisation so that you can add a special message on the reverse of the gold foiled insert. Simply add your message when purchasing your tickets on the website.

This hands-on workshop is perfect for those who are passionate about premium stationery, and in particular, the Traveler’s Notebook method of note-taking/journaling. It’s also a special keepsake for Titanic enthusiasts, in addition to a unique, immersive experience within Thomas Andrews’ office.

Today I’m making a square spine book from scratch, using Irish linen and end papers with an illustration of Titanic for a special customer order.

Before I even get to the stage of covering the grey board, I need to get the book block ready; which means adding the end papers, page marker and endbands.

Due to the unprecedented demand for my bookbinding workshop in Thomas Andrews’ office at Titanic Hotel Belfast I’m scheduling another FOUR over the next few months!

2 will be hardback books covered in Irish linen and 2 will be my special edition Titanic Traveler’s Notebooks (including personalisation).
