Art Camp 2026
The Market Place Theatre & Arts Centre, Armagh

Before the fabulous exhibition, we took inspiration from MC Esher. They created some 3d patterned optical illusions & the kids also had a go at creating their own tesselations.

It was a creative mad rush right until exhibition, just in time for the duly impressed visitors!

So proud of all the artists & their work during the week 👏

Art Camp 2026
The Market Place Theatre & Arts Centre, Armagh

We took inspiration from the works of . The kids made their own mixed-media versions of her gorgeous textile pieces, painting patterns in acrylic & then adding texture with glitter, yarn, string & beads. The pieces turned out wonderfully tactile & expressive, no embroidery required!

They also made sequined slogan pieces on fabric with neon borders. Celebrating whatever they wanted - their favourite colour, cartoon, or food, the love of dogs, art or ice creams, or affirmations or positive reminders!

Art Camp 2026

We took inspiration from Stephen Knapp's sensory light installations & made our own versions of his 'light paintings'. Shards of "glass" in iridescent film & tissue paper on shower cutain & explosions in vinyl & reused plastic wallets coming out from painted passepartouts. Especially effectful in the sun! 🌞

Art Camp 2026 The Market Place Theatre & Arts Centre, Armagh last week was jam packed - every day a new artist inspiration, new materials & new techniques.

We took inspiration from & the kids made their own versions of his . Then off they went exploring the world around them (LOVE when art meets play & pieces that encourages further exploration ❤️)

We also talked about Problems of Success & how things would be 🐝 minus pollinators, then made drawings of pollinators using paint made from bee pollen.

Come join us at the Family Festival & create a Venetian Mask fit for a masquerade or the stage.

Will your character be a tragic villain, comedic hero or maybe even a sneaky jester? You decide!
Participants will get a paper mask to modify, adding distinctive features to create your mask character. You will then decorate the masks in tissue paper and music sheet decoupage. Finally you will add decorations like glitter, gems or feathers to finish your magnificent masks.

All materials provided.
