Holding a stall at fairs in general isn’t for the faint hearted. It takes a lot of energy, preparation and expense to show and set up shop. There are no guarantees of sales or even interest, which is why I’ve shied away from them for a while.
This season I’ve dipped my toes back in and to be honest, it hasn’t been an easy ride.

At my most recent fair, I was touched by the words of a lady why stopped by. She knew a lot about Kente which really surprised and impressed me. She previously lived in Brixton so she had had a lot of exposure to Black culture. Her words to me were “this is what the world needs right now”.
Another lady said “Wow! I wish these were around when my daughter was growing up”.

Those words certainly put a smile on my face and spurred me on to keep going. ✨️❣️🎄

Minature Kente Christmas Tree.

A mini Kente Christmas tree which will look perfect on the mantle place or as part of a festive table setting. The kente has been deliberately wrapped around the wooden tree base in a rustic fashion which gives the piece a charm of its own. The 3 brass findings add further traditional African rustic notes.
