At our Craft Arena Tanglers session this month, we played with borders, creating them with fragments, other tangles, objects (I used a strip of lace as inspiration) and letters. We then talked about strings and chose our favourites to construct a tile. Really pleased with the results, although not all of us completed the shading. Thank you Catherine, Caroline, Debbie and Linda for making it an enjoyable session.

Thanks to Catherine, Dee, Caroline and Linda for attending Craft Arena Tanglers yesterday. We tangled my design based on a wall tile I saw when in India.

The results of Craft Arena Tanglers this morning with Linda, Dee, Catherine and Caroline. We coloured a Zendala with water colour pencils, then tangled a design and cut out the negative space. We are going to stick them but Caroline suggested using split pins so they would spin. Luckily I had some! I love it when my students take things a step further!!

Due to the extreme heat in the studio today, Thursday 9th July, we have decided to close early for our own wellbeing. We plan to be open again tomorrow from 10am and we look forward to seeing everyone soon. Our apologies if this causes any inconvenience. As we aren't in the studio today because of the heat warning, I finished some paperwork and then tried out my latest Tom's Studio 'sakura' Lumos with a quick tangle on a Bijou tile. I used their Juniper and Iris inks together with a Royal Talens UK Bruynzeel pastel pencil and Metallic Gelly Roll.
I may do a larger tile once it gets a bit cooler!
