โโ Please read ๐๐๐ My Reed diffuser products are made with premium quality products. I donโt just sell them, I also provide you with useful informationโโ
Cheap reed diffusers, often featuring bamboo or low-quality, rigid rattan sticks, frequently fail to disperse scent because the reeds are either too dense, clogged with debris, or not engineered to effectively draw up and evaporate the fragrance oil. These "tiny holes" (channels) in cheaper, natural reeds can become easily blocked, slowing the capillary action necessary for scent throw.
Reasons for Low-Quality Reed Failure
Material Limitations: Bamboo, which often looks similar to higher-end, thinner reeds, has internal barriers that block oil, making it less efficient.
Clogging: Dust and, over time, the oil itself, clog the tiny channels in the reeds, stopping the fragrance from traveling to the top.
Poor Wicking Power: If the reeds are too dense, they will not absorb the oil properly, resulting in no scent dispersion.
Low-Quality Oils: Cheap kits often use low-concentration or inappropriate oils that cannot easily travel up the reeds.
How to Fix or Improve Performance
Replace with Fiber Reeds: Swap out, rigid, "holed" sticks for synthetic fiber reeds. They are engineered with consistent, porous channels designed to prevent clogging and provide a much stronger "throw".
Use Thickened Rattan: If you prefer natural, seek out higher-quality, thicker rattan, which has better capillary action (looks like many tiny straws packed together).
