Hey everyone 👋🏼

Hope you’re all keeping well?! The garden, house and life means I don’t get to do as much furniture as I used to BUT I’ve managed to finish this one 👌🏼

This cute bow fronted cabinet was structurally sound but very tired (like me 😜). I’ve removed the painted and mirrored pattern from the glass (see last pic) to allow the meadow of spring flowers at the back to pop 🌸 and paired with a fresh, zingy green-yellow colour - Conservatory by Fusion Mineral Paint (available from Shabby Nook) 💚💛

I don’t often picture where my cabinets would live but this one surely is destined for a conservatory or orangery don’t you think? Filled with craft gin and glasses against THAT botanical backdrop is a match made in heaven huh? 🍸

Until this one and a few other pieces sell I’ll be temporarily laying down my brushes. In the meantime I’ll be sharing some hints, tips and reels so stay tuned 👀

Good evening Facebook friends 👋🏼

You know how I roll. One tatty brown cabinet that was past its best. No fussy wallpaper for this one either, this one is all about the door! Gold coloured metal leaf shows it off just perfectly 😚👌🏼

I’ve been MIA for quite some time - sorry about that! We’ve been doing so much stuff to the garden, I think I may need to take a mortgage out 😅😂

🩷💛 🐣 QUIRKY BIRDHOUSES 🐣 💚💙

Howdy peeps! Hope you’re enjoying the sun as much as me ☀️

It’s been a while since I’ve had these available but they’re back. A selection of adorable birdhouses handmade from reclaimed timber and then hand painted (and turfed) by me! 🐣

The Robin chalets, will be back very soon too! If you’ve seen my stories you’ll know I FINALLY got a pair nesting in mine 🐣 🐥

Whilst furniture sales are slow I thought I’d focus on some smaller pieces instead 🎨

Which is your favourite colour? I’m liking the yellow, green and hot pink numbers 💛💚🩷

DEMI LUNE TABLE MAKEOVER

The original dark orange-red finish of this quirky shaped pine demi lune table was doing it no favours 🫣 I wanted to give it a cleaner, more modern look so here’s what I did…

1. Cleaned the table using Grime Cutter, rinsed and allowed to dry before sanding off the old finish
2. I then applied a shellac based primer to seal the knotty pine
3. I painted the table using an olive green colour called Everett by Fusion Mineral Paint which has subtle bronzey undertones to it 💚🤎
4. I used Cappuccino stain and finishing oil on the top to knock back the bright blonde pine and make it look more aged whilst giving much more protection than a regular dark furniture wax
5. Finally I ditched the original pull and swapped it for a more modern satin nickel one, et voila ✨

I do like these versatile tables. They’re perfect for hallways or as lamp tables with the bonus of handy drawers for added storage 🙌🏼

Happy Saturday guys 👋🏼

Not a drinks cabinet for a change - don’t worry there will be more of those soon 😉

I saw this pine table on marketplace and fancied a simple little project. Just a solid piece of wood furniture without the faff of hardware and glass and I REALLY enjoyed the simplicity of this project 😌

I’ve fully embraced the knocks and bumps on this one and have used the colour Everett by Fusion. It’s a rich, dark olive green with bronze undertones 💚🤎

I’ve sanded the top and then used cappuccino stain and finishing oil (SFO) to knock back the blonde pine to something dark and moodier with the added benefit of oodles of protection - I think the combo works 🤔

Howdy everyone 👋🏼

This cabinet was originally designed by the infamous Harris Lebus to store linen. I had other ideas 😜

Out came the flimsy shelf so I could create the perfect space for mixing cocktails (obviously!) 🍹 😋

The interior is now lined with hot pink mirrors and mains powered, motion sensor LED lighting illuminates proceedings when the party is in full swing🥂 I’m loving the POP of hot pink when you open the doors 💥 💕

The exterior of this cabinet has changed since I first posted it (not many followers so that one). It was a dark blue green with original handles. I decided to go for a pretty muted pink called Damask by fusion mineral paint and replaced the original pulls with some more modern drop pulls instead. I think she looks very pretty now.

Sophisticated on the outside and a little rebel on the inside 😜
