Little update on our current job 🙌🏻🎨

We’re making some good progress on this block of flats where we’re carrying out a full redecoration of the communal hall, stairs and landing.

There’s been quite a bit of work involved with this one following fire safety remedial works carried out by Stag Home Improvements.Several areas have been reboarded and skimmed, along with all new architraves after the old ones were removed to allow for fire-rated foam to be installed to meet regulations.

Now it’s down to us to get everything prepped and decorated and looking fresh again!

Still plenty to get through but we’re making good progress so far 💪🏻

We’re looking for an experienced and qualified painter & decorator to come and join us at KNV FINISHES on a subcontractor basis!

We’re a small, hardworking team based in Dorset, and we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can deliver the same high standards as us. 🙌🏻

What we’re looking for:

✅ Minimum 5 years’ experience

✅ Qualified painter & decorator

✅ Own tools and transport

✅ Full UK driving licence

✅ Able to work independently and as part of a team

✅ Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship

✅ Reliable, hardworking and professional

💷 Day rate negotiable depending on experience.

📅 Work available from the end of October through until Christmas, with potential for further work.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about the finish they leave behind and will fit in well with our team.

🚪 How do you paint a panelled door? 🎨

Personally, I like to start with the top panels first, then work my way into the centre sections before bringing each edge down and finishing off the bottom.

Whether I’m using a brush or roller, my process always stays the same! 🙌🏻

We’ve all got our own way of doing things in this trade, so I’m curious…

What a year it’s been so far! 🙌🏻🎨

We’ve been absolutely flat out this year with so many different jobs, big and small, and we’ve loved every minute of it! 💪🏻

Our 2026 diary is now FULLY BOOKED 🥳 but we’re now taking bookings for January 2027 onwards! 📅

APPARENTLY WE CAN JUST CYCLE TO SITE NOW 😂🚲🎨

Apparently tradespeople should consider cycling to work to help with rising fuel costs…

No problem 😂 I’ll just strap the ladders, dustless sander, extractor, paint, rollers, brushes and half the van to the back 🚲💨

Hopefully the customer doesn’t mind me turning up absolutely knackered before I’ve even opened a tin 🤣

🚨 NEW JOB ALERT 🚨

We’ve got 3 blocks of flats to get stuck into, completing all the communal halls, stairs & landings 🙌🏻

This one is definitely going to keep us super busy 😂 but we’re here for it as always and always up for a challenge 💪🏻🎨

We’re also working alongside Stag Home Improvements, who’ll be carrying out the fireproofing works in various areas before we work our magic 👌🏻

First things first though… PROTECTION! Before we even think about getting the paint out, everything gets properly covered up.

We’re using TakTek carpet protector on the floors, then for all our masking, tape & drop to protect the glass 👌🏻

Now time to get stuck in 💚🖤

Recently completed for We Build Construction— plenty of prep went into getting that MDF ready before bringing the whole room together with the final finish.

Love a good before & after… what a difference 👌💚🖤
