From rotten ➡️ to repaired. 🪵🛠️

Here’s the process from start to finish in one shot.

All the rotten timber was removed back to solid, sound wood. New timber was scarfed in where sections were beyond repair, with the remaining damaged areas rebuilt using Repair Care DRY FLEX 16.

Once cured, everything was sanded, primed and second-filled to refine the shape before the final prep and finish.

It’s what goes on underneath the paint that makes all the difference. 💚

And that’s a wrap on this summer house! 🏡✨

This one definitely came with its challenges, with some serious areas of wood rot that needed bringing back to life.
We used and although I’m certainly no expert when it comes to the system, I really enjoyed using it — and I have to say, it worked an absolute treat! 🙌🏼

A big thank you to for repairing the timber sections and getting everything back to where it needed to be. 👏🏼

Once all the repairs and prep were completed, we finished the summer house using Superdec in Pebble for a durable, long-lasting finish.

The decking had also seen better days so we gave it a good clean and sand and finished it using .uk ultimate protection in english oak colour.
Another challenging one ticked off the list, and I’m really happy with how this one turned out! 💚

Who needs a plasterer when you got and skimming blade 💪🏻💪🏻

After stripping the woodchip off the walls… well, I say stripping, it practically fell off 😂🙈

We were then left with the walls in a pretty bad condition. As we hadn’t allowed for the walls to be plastered, we decided to go down the Dalapro Roll Nova route instead.

It’s a fantastic product for bringing tired, uneven walls back to life and, when applied correctly, gives a lovely smooth finish ready for decorating.

Another example of why good preparation is so important — it’s all about working with what you’ve got and finding the right solution to get the best possible finish. 👌🏼

Really happy with how this turned out. A lot of preparation went into getting this right and where it needed to be following the previous decorator lack of prep.
