Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at The Fox Inn in Much Wenlock and the Garage there for looking after everyone who was trapped by the heavy snow and closed roads.
During the snow last week we got trapped, along with many other people, between Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury when coming home from work.
Both the road to Bridgnorth, the Harley Bank section and Wenlock Bank became impassable within 15 to 20 minutes of the snow starting and very quickly the roads were thickly covered, with cars and lorries stuck and blocking roads.
The lovely rooms at The Fox Inn were suddenly full with all of us and then when all their rooms were full with everyone and their dogs, they offered to keep the pub downstairs open all night to give shelter and warmth to any one stuck in Much Wenlock during the night. 20+ people arrived during the night and early hours and found shelter downstairs.
The garage helped get everyone up to date information and helped us dig out our car when the roads were finally clear enough to leave.
Heartfelt thank yous to everyone in Much Wenlock who showed so much kindness to strangers.
