I get it, we all want our flowers to last a long time… but really, they’re not meant to last forever… I believe part of their job is to remind us to be present while they’re here.
I’m not sure how many times I stopped to smell this beautiful rose before she became part of a bouquet, but I soaked her right in and I can still remember her sweet smell now.
So put your flowers somewhere you’ll see them often. Enjoy them, stop and smell them, let them bring you joy, because they won’t be here forever, but perhaps that’s part of what makes them so beautiful after all.
