Goodbye feature wall, hello colour drenching!

For years, feature walls dominated interior design. But increasingly, we're seeing homeowners embrace a more immersive approach: colour drenching.

Colour drenching involves painting walls, woodwork, doors and sometimes even ceilings in the same colour to create a cohesive and enveloping feel. The result is often surprisingly calming, sophisticated and impactful.

Whether you opt for a soft sage green, a warm neutral or a rich, dramatic hue, colour drenching can help a room feel more considered, harmonious and architectural.

Often the focal point of the space, a headboard is an opportunity to introduce softness, texture and a real sense of individuality. Whether upholstered, panelled or elegantly understated, it helps to anchor the room and create that feeling of calm, considered comfort.

I recently watched a documentary about microplastics and it completely stopped me in my tracks.

Like many people, I consider myself fairly health conscious. I prioritise good nutrition, movement and sustainability in my daily life. But what struck me most was how little attention we give to the invisible chemicals inside our homes.

One group of chemicals in particular stood out: PFAS.

If you’ve never heard of them, you’re not alone. Yet they are surprisingly common in modern interiors.
